This is the 2nd book I’ve read by Cormac McCarthy (the other being the Road) and definitely my least favorite of the two. This book seems to be violent just for the sake of being violent. At the end I wasn’t really sure what the point of the story was. Everybody is dead.
I won’t be going to see this movie in the theatre. I’m sure it’s just full of blood and violence. Surprising that a book/movie without out a lot of story but a lot of gore would be so nominated for Academy Awards etc.

This movie is getting rave reviews. You don’t see 4.7 / 5 ratings very often.

I know! Dan finallly watched in the other day and he loved it. Still not going to watch it. Pointless violence just doesn’t do it for me!
